Mt. Tai China: the symbol and pride of Chinese people.

Mt. Tai is located in Taian City, the central of Shandong Province. It occupies a total area of 426 square kilometers, and erected on the Northern China Plateau. Mt. Tai is formed in immemorial times, and it is the most ancient stratum in China. Mt. Tai faces the sea in the east, and back

on the yellow river to the west, hence it was the center of politics, economics and culture of eastern China for thousands of years. In thousands of years, there are more than 20 ancient buildings and 2000 cultural remains. It is really the symbol and pride of Chinese people. Since ancient China, there had been countless writers and scholars expressed their highly praises of Mt. Tai. Du Fu wrote the poetry that “Once climbed onto the top of Mt. Tai, all other mountains are outweighed into hills”. The grand and magnificent mountain attracted people from all walks of life throughout the world. Because its high altitude and magnificence, Mt. Tai was the sacred place for imperial succession ceremony in ancient China. All emperors would accept the symbol of power on the most exalted and honorable place. At present, there are many temples, inscriptions and steel on Mt. Tai, which were built and left by emperors, scholars and poets of various dynasties. Grand natural sceneries and abundant cultural remains also enabled Mt. Tai enrolled in the list of World Cultural Heritage and World Natural Heritage as early as in 1987. Mt. Tai is attracting and will attract more and more tourists from all over the world. The Aura on Mount Taishan The aura on top of M-TS is one of wonders.

Clouds at sunset

When cloud and mist is diffusing in the early morning or nightfall, the aura emerges on the higher summit if tourists look in the same direction of the light. The aura is one colorful halo with blue color inside and red color outside and reflects an image of one person just like the aura surrounds the head Buddha. That's why called "Fuo Gang" (aura) or "Bao Guang" (jewellery light). The aura on M-TS is one kind of light diffraction and appears only under the whether condition of sunny with fog and the sunlight slanting in June to August.
